Social Psychologist with a PhD in Qualitative Research

I am a social psychologist specialised in qualitative research methodologies. My research interests are centred on three topics: gender equality, development/humanitarian workers and vocational guidance.

Since I my undergraduate days I have been interested in social issues, especially in reducing inequality. This led me to a whole range of experiences: first as a volunteer in small charities, then as an elected Town Councillor in my hometown. When I started my PhD in psychology I wanted to strengthen my research skills for social purposes: I was not only interested in contributing to ‘scientific knowledge’, but, primarily, in the positive impact it could have on the ‘real world’.

Following my PhD, I am now building my career in social research.
